Domaine La Baranière, AOC Côtes du Rhône Villages Chusclan, Red, 2022

The 2022 vintage was characterised by a very dry winter, with the vegetative cycle of the vines resuming very early in March. Spring saw abundant flowering, but was marked in June by severe hail in and around Laudun, which affected many plots. The summer was very dry, resulting in a high-quality harvest, with beautifully aromatic rosés, reds with high tannin potential and rich, flavoursome whites.

This wine from the Domaine de la Baranière is located at the foot of the Château de Gicon. It is a wine with a singularity due to its particular geographical situation and its altitude which accentuates its exposure to the Mistral. With this wine, Maison Sinnae is committed to passing on to future generations the heritage and terroir of the Rhône.
The vineyard of Chusclan is located on the right bank of the Rhône, 15 kilometres north of Avignon, in the heart of the southern Côtes du Rhône vineyards.
This cuvée comes from Domaine de la Baranière on a terroir exposed to the Mistral wind and on a soil of rolled pebbles («galets roulés»), gravel, clay and sand.
