The 2022 vintage was characterised by a very dry winter, with the vegetative cycle of the vines resuming very early in March. Spring saw abundant flowering, but was marked in June by severe hail in and around Laudun, which affected many plots. The summer was very dry, resulting in a high-quality harvest, with beautifully aromatic rosés, reds with high tannin potential and rich, flavoursome whites.

Presentation
Here, everything finds a sense and a balance to live in harmony in preserved nature. Like the lively and mischievous sparrows which nest amongst the parcels, Frédéric Couston’s wines sing their terroir and invite us back to the path of simplicity and pleasure.
Terroir
Of the 40 hectares of Domaine de Lubin, six are devoted to the «les Mésanges» cuvée. The terroir is fragmented and diversified on sandy soil where old Syrah (1980s), Grenache and 100-year old Carignan vines, dating from shortly after the Domaine’s creation in 1927, flourish.
On the terraces, parcels of old vines, olive trees, scrubland and abundant fauna coexist.
